I know what it feels like to arrive somewhere new and not understand a single letter that lands in your mailbox. That is exactly why I do this.

My name is Erika Ciro. I came to Switzerland during the pandemic, as a complete change of life after years spent in Spain. Everything felt different at first. The winters were harder than anything I knew, and yet the mountains and the quiet beauty of this place took my breath away. What stayed with me most, though, was how difficult it can be to truly fit in. To feel settled, you have to speak the language and learn a system nobody explains to you.

So I learned it. And somewhere along the way, I became the person my friends called whenever they moved here and felt lost, when they couldn't understand an official letter, when the administration overwhelmed them, when the language stood in the way. I helped because I genuinely love helping, and because I had lived it myself.

This kind of work was never new to me. Long before Switzerland, I spent years anticipating what people need before they ask, coordinating events in Madrid and later working as a private concierge in Ibiza, caring for international clients who valued discretion, warmth, and a calm answer to any last-minute problem. When I came here, I eventually went back to study and earned a degree in Data Science. But looking at the corporate world ahead of me, I chose something braver and closer to who I am: to build my own thing, weaving together everything I had learned with everything I had lived.

That is La Boussole Geneva. The trusted person I wish I'd had when I arrived, and the one I have quietly been for others ever since.
